Had a wierd thing happen tonight when leaving the servo after filling the GT- my foot brushed the fuel bowser fuel line- could have got caught in it- wonder how many people have been yanked off their bikes over the years from a bowser? Haven't thought of that one before.
Road hazard in Plainlands.

Road hazard in Plainlands.
Be careful if travelling to Brisbane from Toowoomba, at Plainlands- just opposite the pub is half a big ceramic plumbing pipe sticking out of the bitumen- hit it the other day with my car (LH wheels) and I imagine it would be pretty tragic to hit it with a bike.....hope they fix that one soon! I guess it sticks out around 10-15cm.

It's in the lane heading towards Brisbane- single lane at that point, about 50-100m past the pub, just before you swing left to join the 4 lane wide bit again. Guess when they make it 4 lane there again (roadworks there at the mo) it will be in the right lane heading towards Toowoomba, if they don't fix it.

Update:
Problem fixed! I went to Plainlands today, to take some pics of the hazard, and I got talking to some roadworkers, who fixed the problem on the spot! Turns out it wasn't a pipe submerged in the bitumen- it was a brake shoe off a truck which must have fallen into the fresh tar. They just dug it out! Much safer!
Hopefully I will be able to post some pics. My usual host isn't working at the mo. Also got pics from my ZZR1100 and it's brush with roadworks in Brisbane a couple of years ago...
