and

http://www.sportrider.com/bikes/performance/

just bare in mind that all the 1/4 mile times from sport rider have a professional drag racer piloting the bike, and they set the bike up for drag (strap the front end down, lower the rear, completely impossible to corner or ride on the road but wont wheelie at all on launch) and are lucky to get about 5 runs out of a clutch before they burn it out

oh and some advice? dont buy a bike on specs alone. i wouldnt even really consider it. start off with some actual reviews of the bike, not just specs on paper.... have a look here:

thanks for that thows sights were great.
I have a mate selling his 99zx6. Im thinking of buying it I think its a good deal that he is offering me but Im struggling to get the cash for it. So I just wanted to see if it would be worth while hanging off 12mths and getting something newer. Or get a small loan and get the 99.

how much does he want for it?

apparently the 2000-2001 ZX6R's were a nice step up from the 98-99 model.... still much the same bike just just refined... the 2000 ZX6R won the MO shootout against all the other 600's

still if the price is right then a 99 would be fine...
