Help! '00 zx6r!

Post by slojo »

i recently got some raceglass for my '99 zx6r. the raceglass is actually for a '00 zx6r which is a different shape but bolts straight on anyway. HOWEVER, i do not have the ram-air scoop and rubber fastening seal for it. i have already ordered the air ducts from melbourne but cannot for love nor money find one in australia and have tried all the major wreckers in sydney, melbourne, brisbane, and adelaide. yes i've tried findapart.com.au as well with no success as yet either.

i've got a track day coming on on friday next week and desperately need the fairings ready to go with the proper ram-air setup otherwise the bike's performance will be severely hampered.

if anyone here knows anyone with these parts they can sell/lend me, i will be eternally grateful! there will obviously be financial compensation as well as choice of beer.

yeh tried EC wreckers, metro's in silverwater, vic wreckers in melbs, jap wreckers in adelaide, and a few in brisbane too...

this is the bit i need, as well as the rubber/plastic seal just behind it that connects it to the air ducts.

Cant you buy the stock part from a dealer?

no, don't think they're the same as the 9, and definately not the same as the 12.

stock parts are available but would take about a month to ship from japan, which will be my last resort
