Polished Rims where & $
OK Hubby has hinted he would like polished rims on the zx6
I thought i best suss the cost out.
Does anyone know who in Vic does them and how much?
I did a search and found nothing on it.
Thanks Kerry

ElectroMold do a 'plated' type of finish, looks just like polished rims, and only needs a Mr Sheen to bring up to perfect finish - I *think* they are up around $1400 for a pair of rims ?? Could be less if you take bare rims into them.
Polished rims - good luck. There is *so* much work in keeping them clean and polished, but yes, they would be cheaper to do in the first place (about $500 a pair *approximately*)

To be honest polished rims aren't that hard to look after. If he commutes on the bike and it sits outside in the rain etc I'd advise against it, as the water marks them badly, my front one still needs some work to bring it back up to normal from the damage done one the trip.
But otherwise, hell yeah, I have an awesome metail polish and it takes about ten minutes every now and then and the wheels look excellent again

Depending on what flavour of ZX6 this is, I could be in a position to help...
...I have a set of polished C-model ZX9 wheels. With a change of bearings, they'll fit ZX6's from 1998 to 2002... and I have a suspicion they might even fit the 2003-2004 model, as well.
I'd swap them for the wheels on the bike now, with some cash adjustment, say $150.

Some people are like slinkies good for nothing but still fun when you toss them down the stairs.
