I had much the same experience, hopped in a cab and said 'Werribee'.Stereo wrote:I jumped in a taxi at the airport once...

"How do I get out of this taxi?"
"Why?"
The guy (Afghani) pulls off in a hurry and heads down Kings Way. This is was a bit odd, the cabbies used to swing onto the Westgate via Flinders Street and Charles Grimes bridge. Anyway, this guy goes like a bat out of hell down Kings Way and just as he's about to swing onto Queens Road I said "How exactly are you getting to Werribee from here?". Thence followed a look of intense panic, followed by the admission that he thought Werribee was in fact down near Moorabin, and now he had no idea.
You'd think they'd have some basic idea of WTF suburb is where wouldn't you...?
