How about a KSRC sponsored privateer?
That is the way i am doing it. All my own money, i only get stuff at cost plus freight from a shop.
Depending on what type of bike you have and what class your in you need at least $500 - $1500 in tyres a meeting. That is where you need sponsorship. A lot of guys sacrifice outright laptimes to last the meeting on one set of tyres.
I would do the east coast rounds of the ASC Formula Extreme championship if i had a tyre sponser but without one i cannot afford the extra $800-$1000 per meeting to do it.

One of the top 125 guys a few years ago? I remember saying he was working 70hrs/week so he could afford to race & he nearly punched on with the opposition kids father because the kid took him out which wrecked his bike & he was unable to race & would lose points in the championship cause he didnt have a spare bike?
The kids dad was providing the money for racing so it was all good for the kid, but not so good for the poor bugger who had to work his ass off just to get to the race.
If you want my bank account people I'm happy to go racing with your coin$$$$
I found out yesterday if I want to race my 636 in the Sporties Club championship @ QR I would have to race with Hemi & Stretchy...
My question is, do you think that's unfair to Hemi & Stretchy, I mean after all it is a "636" & they are only on the thou's

To be honest if this does happen (and after all Dave is the main man and must say yay ot nay before anything can happen) my personal opinion is it must be a Kawasaki rider that is struggling but has the talent however is not a current member.
As in some one that is currently removed from KSRC so as not to put anyones nose out of joint.
We all know Simmo, Hemi, Stretsh, Gismo, ETC Are currently racing and can do with some help and we all should be doing what we can to help them out with sponcers.
My opinion is that if we are to band together as one and sponcer an up and comer we need to be impartial and look at someone independant.
Just my opinion for what its worth

$200 a year im not interested in..i can think of things i need to spend my $$ on...
BUT....a free nites accom, looking for local sponsors, help getting to track etc..stuff like that would cost bugger all, and maybe a small cash grant..hell $20 ea from the 100 members is $2000 which is several sets of tyres...or fees..or SOME kind of help...
im not saying lets pay ALL of this so he can become a pro racer...im saying HELP...

Now if someone would pay me some more money & sponsors wanted to give me lots of $$$$ so I could afford it, I would be there in a Heartbeat!
