Changed from a 16 to a 15 tooth front gear
re: Changed from a 16 to a 15 tooth front gear
I inadvertantly went from a 15 to a 16 front when I changed my sprockets a few months ago. Didn't know the previous owner had made the change and just bought the standard sprockets. The pro's were that it cruised at speed much better, a lot smoother with the 16. The con's were that it doesn't take off from the lights quite as well and the front doesn't come up as easy.

i wanna do it so i can get the 7r up.mattyv74 wrote:Guys, if you want to do it, don't wait. I got a non genuine from Melbourne Kawasaki (Cosways) for about $16 a few years back.
Just need a 26 or 27mm(?) socket a long breaker bar.
Remember that any earlier bike that have a cable driven speedo from the front wheel, the speedo's accuracey won't change.
C'mon, just do it, it's only the cost of a tank of fuel.
whats the difference in km range per tank.
