Im looking at adjusting the compression/rebound on my zx6.
the manual talks about the standard settings being 1 3/4 turns out from the fully seated position.
I am assuming that the seated position is towards the "S" (or the anti clockwise direction) on the top of the rebound adjuster.
Is this correct? If not anyone got an idea what is the "fully seated position"?
there is also a "H" on there so i had assumed that meant softer/harder...
thanks for your help
What is the "fully seated" position on my suspensi

Fully seated I would've thought meant fully in, but with the Japanese who knows. Unless your 68 kg's the original settings probably aren't worth a squirt though.
I'd start with the preload ie getting your sag right as that'll fix 99% of your problem and then fiddle with the damping adjustments in tiny adjustments to find what feels best. Cruise around the net perhaps for someone elses feedback on a good setup.
Good luck with it.

All suspension settings are taken from the fully wound in position.
This would mean you wind your compression and rebound to there hardest settings (fully in / seated) and then turn out the 1 3/4 turns or whatever you want...

thanks for the help guys.
Im not too worried about it - im just looking for excuses to go play with the new bike
the bloke i bought it off said he cranked up the compression as he liked it that way so i wanted to check what he had actually done and make sure it wasnt too radical.
atleast now that i know what "fully seated" means (thanks madkaw) i can figure out how far off standard it is. I am a LOT bigger than "standard" though
