How much is fuel over your end of the world people ? If anyone is good at converting the prices it costs between 92-99 pence per litre over here. Been pushing 1 GBP per litre recently .......

$AUD 1.40-$1.50 works out to be about 57-62p/litre.
Doing the reverse calculation for what youngkwak's paying,thats $2.40-$2.42/litre. FCUK ME.

I reckon...
petrol is cheap in the UK
why?
late last year (when I was there) petrol in Turkey
......was 2.80 EURO a litre
or 'bout Oz $4.70

I even took a pic of one of the servos with those prices
coz I sure no-one would believe me

These things called fuel cards are great for the car $90/week. But the bike is buggar all so it does not bother me.
Wife is a different story.

Dont bother me about fule prices either , i only ride my bike ( or the bus) so i just put 10 - 15 bucks ina week and shell be cool

I believe you, maybe because I live in Turkey. That could've been 2.80 Turkish Lira which is 2.80aud. It is now around 3aud/litre and going up. Apparently we have the most expensive fuel in the world.

By the way, the cheapest petrol station is supposedly on Bay street port melbourne..... It looks like it is about halfway down the shopping strip but there is no petrol station there....

according to the rest of the world we do have cheap fuel.

for us to be on par with the rest of the world we would have to pay something like $2.20 per litre.

People always bitch and moan about fuel prices. If ur not happy there are plenty of option:

- Diesel cars
- Hybrid cars
- Public transport
- Pushy
- Walking

I think it the one on the corner of Montague..its cheap
or maybe the other one 50m further down (towrds the bay)

coz we are still 80% self sufficient in fuel grade oil
...cept the guvmint said
lets use the Singapore pricing regime for fuel
which is based on a worldparity pricing scheme
and so
petrol is dearer here and ,the guvmint gets more excise
and GST ..and so our petrol is dearer than it should be
