wet4u race fairings - bought it
Hello
ive decided to buy a wet4u race fairing for my zx6.
My decision is based on availability. ie they are available and the others arent.
he reckons he supplies the kawa race team so i figure they cant be all that bad.
anyone got any positive or negative comments about these fairings?
my negative comment is that his company name is bloody stupid.
thanks

You can specify with some or no holes (ie blinkers, lights)
Might I suggets get it with brake light and headlight holes but no blinker holes
That way flush mounts (if you are going to road it) will be a LOT easier to fit
I got mine from Raceglass (for a 7) and specified no holes (DOH) as I wanted to put little halogens in it ala endurance racers, should have asked them to put the tail light hole in but as I F*ed it up....

Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD

OK so i went over to this blokes place last night to check out the fairings for my zx6 and my brother wanted one for his gsxr600 track bike.
they looked pretty good to me so i bought them. a set for me and one for the spewsuki.
he apparantly supplies kawasaki race team and has done for some time.
the finish on these fairings is a shitload better the crap my bro's track bike came with. (you may remember a previous thread of mine about are all track fairings crap
)
last night when i got home i started fitting the fairing to his bike and it seems to fit pretty good.
tonight im going to try get it finished.
I will fit mine when i sort out the gsxr as id rather screw it up on that than mine
the finish on the kawa fairing is much better than the gsxr and the bloke said that was cause he has gotten better at making them.
I told him he needed a website and he said he didnt need the work or the trouble.
he also makes rear sets as well.
i will post his details later on.
thanks everyone for your advice with all this fairing stuff

sorry i should of said that in the last post...Plasma Blue 636 wrote:How much???
$895 for the zx6 (i think most of his kits are that price)
the gsxr was 795 i think cause it was an older fairing that he has had for ages.
kit comes with top, belly pan, tail piece, front fender and screen
he also makes rearsets ($500 a set)
he does COD
his number is 0416215134 if anyone is after it.

i havent seen any pictures of his rearsets.gizmo wrote:My wet4U fairing needed abit of modifications to fit properly around the LHS engine case as the hole seemed to be in the wrong place but that's all fixed now....
Where's the rearset pictures?
i saw some in the flesh out at his place and they looked pretty good but im not really qualified to say to be honest.
I havent started messing around with the fairing on my 6 yet but its going ok on the gsxr. i have to remove the stand (it had to go sooner or later anyway) to get the belly pan on and some shit has to come off the back under the seat to make the tail fit.
hopefully we can get that one sorted this week and try mine out over the weekend.
Plas - i am not sure about street versions. i didnt see any when i was out there but you never know.
