in the mountainbike world, where you have to spend in excess of $700 just to get somthing that wont fall apart on you in 5 minutes, it IS crap.
personally, i wouldn't piss around with it for any reason other than its painted up in kwakka colours. aside from that, its cheap as they get. the frame is steel (WAY heavy), the components couldn't be any cheaper if they tried (i'm certain they use square bearings in these things
) and the suspension is basically for looks, you dont want to hit too many bumps cos it'll shit itself
buuuuut it is a kwakka, better a $100 kwakka treadly than a $100 huffy treadly

That's very true Mr Nuts99coconuts wrote:in the mountainbike world, where you have to spend in excess of $700 just to get somthing that wont fall apart on you in 5 minutes, it IS crap.

My new bike was more like $1800 and that's about the cheapeast you'll get a 'decent' full-suspension bike (you can get a nice hard-tail for about half that).
And doesn't she look purdy

So I was on my way to Toys R us to check out these Kawi pushies, as the young fella is getting better on his bike and I figure I should get one to ride with him.
On the way the misses wants to check out the toy sale at K-mart.
No probs, I figure, and when we walk into K-mart they have stack of Huffy mountain bikes at the entry, all 1/2 price..
So I got talked into buying an 18 speed pushie for $50.. Great value, but not a Kawi.
We then went to Toy r Us and checked out the Kawi bikes ( and bought the kids a stack of toys), There pretty good but I couldn't justify double the price.... to the misses anyway... so I'm still working on it.. The plan is, she gets the Huffy and I get the Kawi... a bit later..
