Wlhat to wear?

Post by gigksrc »

Got ready to ride today & thought nup still feel cold.
What to wear?
it's freezing Arctic weather so I'm thinking, thinking .....
Best idea I've had yet!
Ratted my son's wardrobe & came up with his long sleeve wetsuit top.
Wore it under my leather jacket & apart from rain & arctic chill
off the sea blowing at me I felt almost OK.
Only down side was arriving at the job & having to squelsh through the mud in my pretty new Alpinestars :(

mwahahahahah u sick bastard...

actually kiwi Rob from BA used to brag abt wearing a wetsuit in the rain, under his jeans & a jumper..apparently kept him warm etc...

however, wetsuits dont have much abrasion resistance..in fact..there kinda grippy..and there made of nylon...

so Gigs...dont fall off!!

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

and Wetsuits are neoprene not nylon mate, but they keep you warm by using body heat to warm a thin layer of water between your skin and the suit, so unless you plan on using Stereo's method ........

Could keep you dry/drier never tried it though.

Personally I prefer my heated gloves and jacket liner. :D
The only downside to it is there is a wire poking out from under my tank cover!
I want fast bikes, cars and women!
But can only afford one at a time!

Correct Plas.
The wetsuit will keep you warm until it gets soaked through. then it will make you very cold very quickly. How. Wild chill.
Ask anyone who has spent time in a wet suit in winter. Minute you get out if the water and the wind hits you , you freeze.
I think there are far better products out there for this purpose and using a wetsuit for this could lead a dangerous situation quickly.

Get yourself a Damart thermal under thingy a jumper and a good quilted jacket ie Dririder etc. You'll be as warm as toast (and it's better than pissing in your wetsuit to warm things up).
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.
