/Wave & Question Re Tyres In Syderney

Post by shadowzx9 »

Morning chilluns

Been lurking for quite some time, on and off, thought it was high time to register an account and make IK's life a misery.

Have a question for the tyre afficionados, I find myself in need of replacement rubber on the 12, been using pilot powers, love em, love being able to round up R6's with em

Mines flat on the bottom however, and overall very smooth, cept for the sides, they just lumpy:D

Anyone know of a good source for powers in sydney? can remove the rim from the rear, havent got the tools for the front though, which os cool coz its only the rear that needs to be changed atm.
If youre living on the edge, youre taking up too much space

Sorry I can't help you there but am sure someone here will know!

(BTW, you might get a better response rate if you put this in the "wheel and tyre" section ;) )

What Collette said
Go to Wheels and Tyres
Also check out ozZX12R site
Lots of info there specifically on 12's
A lot of you southern guys seem to be running soft Shinko's as there is a guy selling for $275 A PAIR
Apparently getting about 3000k out of them but at that price....
Site owner is having probs at mo so may be a bit of trouble to log in but...

One thing ppl have been known to do is run a normal on the back and a sticky on the front so they wear out at similar times.
Me, I just buy two backs to one front....
Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD
