clutch slip

Post by WRT_GPX »

hmm, the ninja has bit of slip in it at the moment, not enough to bother me since im just commuting, but ill probably look at it sooner than later. Just one question, would the pressure plates really be boned after just 40 000km? or would it just be possible the springs. Being a learner bike i still wouldnt rule out the plates :P

edit: and oh, useful info... its usually grips fine if i just just the clutch lever go completely, but if i baby the clutch back out then it starts to slip.

Worn friction plates is probably all it is. Not expensive, and could be done by someone with mechanical empathy!!! :)

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

Dont be suprised (if its a "race" kit clutch pack) that the actual contact points are MUCH smaller.

what difference will that make? anything to the functioning of it? or would it just wear quicker than an OEM cluch?
