From Motorcycling Australia: With the YMF Loan Australian Superbike Championship drawing nearer, organisers are calling for volunteers to help out at each of the final three rounds.
Volunteers are needed to assist as flag and track marshals, pit lane marshals, machine examiners and scribes (gear and licence checks), required for both the event itself and on the Thursday night preceding the event from 5.30pm - 7.30pm.
All officials and marshals who volunteer for an event will be provided with free admission, lunch and refreshments, a BBQ and complimentary drink on Saturday evening at the presentations, a series vest and cap, plus one free guest pass for the weekend.
While it would be preferred for officials to take part in all three days of each event, one or two day support would certainly be welcomed.
The remaining rounds for the 2006 series are:
Rd 5 Symmons Plains, Launceston, Tasmania - September 8-9-10;
Rd 6 Winton Motor Raceway, Victoria - October 20-21-22;
Rd 7 Eastern Creek Raceway, NSW - November 17-18-19 (Final).
People who are interested in volunteering for these rounds can register for the events by contacting either the series Race Secretary, Denise Stronach on 0408 583 976 or mcrcwa@iinet.net.au, or Gloria Langsdale at admin@formula-xtreme.com.au
Alternatively, further information and registration forms can be downloaded from http://www.aus-superbikes.com.au
