I have a *ahem* friend that thought it would be funny to see how fast he could get from Werribee to Geelong. Passed a mobile radar sitting in the middle of the road, he pulled out lights blazing for about 1km. After that, the lights went off, and he turned around.

I was pulled over by a motorcycle cop, fined and lost 2 demerit points for not using my indicators in peak hour traffic on the Monash.
Does that qualify as being a "naughty boy"

What if he said "Your giving motorcyclists a bad name"?
Does that make me part of a renegade motorcycle gang??

What if I said I continue to ride the Monash and not use my indicators when slicing thru the traffic?
Does that make me a naughty renegade motrcycle gang MoFo?

(geees I'll have to be careful...now their gunna be after me)

I live with fear everyday but on weekends she lets me ride.

2ndly..have u ever tried hanging on to a bike on the road for any length of time at over 250kph...boy it gets tiring...so ive heard....
1stly, Depends what year, but I think Luckys if its the same as smitty's is not limited. the ones that are, do at 299 by speedo, but allow 10% off, would be 269ish at worst or if you added 10% on it would be 328ish
However, generally speaking most bikes over estimate speed on speedo. so you're looking at 269ish
2ndly, Yes it does get tiring and when you break, dont get up from behind the screen, unless you want to know what its like to turn into a sail

1st NO (Busa's do and one model 12 DID but no in Oz I dont think)
2nd Yes, and not on a 12, well the holding on bit anyway.
What does get tiring is thinking of the TINY littlest thing it will take to make it go pear shaped REAL quick and you DIE.
AND not letting any PART of your body stick out even a little bit.
And yes the buggers move around a LOT from about 260 up.
The way the handlebars wiggle non-stop doing 300k on the Nurburgring straight in TT is ....pretty accurate... BUT the stacks hurt WAY more....
Sit over that for any length of time and you will find how heavy there are and how long the push is back to that servo you passed a few seconds ago. About 120k out of a tank

In "controlled" conditions of course..... so they tell me....
AND speedos are NOTORIOUSLY optomistic

Mine is a 2000 model, so unresticted.
It was on the road back from Kerang (i went upto Barham). So if anyone knows the roads up that way you will know that they are long, straight and smooth.
I didn't find it too bad at 310 tucked under the screen. The front end gets a little floaty though.
I want fast bikes, cars and women!
But can only afford one at a time!

And Lainie just confirmed to me 260km two up on the 12 on the way back ... I mean under controlled conditions.....
and I wasnt even crouching properly... cause if you DO the pillion go bye bye... as pointed out ON speedo so I am guessing 240-250....
As Lainie just said, no hassles, no wobbles, no nothing, bar the speedo nothing to even let you know (as a pillion).
Nice to have indipentant confirmation

He is, he keeps lending leathal speed machines to wanna be hoons in cafe zoned areas!the kid wrote:Quote from a Hamilton newspaper : "Magistrate Michael Stone told ###### he seemed to have an inability to stay within the speed limits and that his driving record was ATROCIOUS."
And that was for doing 126 in a 100 zone .
That ###### must be a real menace to society .

Heaps of long straights around here, even blokes coming back in from the mines in cars been clocked at over 200. Anywhere near the limiter and you better hope the roads straight, ever tried changing direction at that speed

Watching things like ghostrider its surprising to see him weaving through traffic at 260+.
On three occasions trying to get to the limiter i've had wind buffeting, shaking your head ever so slightly, but blurrs your vision making it necesary to button off. I always think of someone who once told me that at 300 you cover 3 football fields in a sec. not sure how accurate that is but its something always in the back of my head.
