ive prolly dun just over 1000ks on them and they still look like new i try to stick to twisty rides through the hinterland so all the tyre gets used you gota luv those twistiesz900/zx9 wrote:Maybe black ninja can shed a bit more light on ks as his were fitted back in june and sunny gold coast he should have clocked up a few ks by now.

when i had the m3s fitted the seller fella said the rear had a hard centre and softer sides but it seems the compound difference may be only between the front and rear tyre

i only have about 700 odd k's on mine so far and they have just bedded in nicelyz900/zx9 wrote:Any more updates on wear ??? as pilot sports really looking a bit sick now,so choices have to be made.
the tread depth is alot deeper than the M1, if thats any help.
so far they seem really grippy, i tried to give the rear a good workout and it felt fine. steering is sharper to but not unstable.

HTH
BTW, both my mates that got them about the same time as me love as well.

Well I must say I`m pretty happy with the M-3s so far. Went for run up the gold coast hinterland to srub them in this morning (and what a day for it too.) 250k later and they dont even look like there starting to scrub in. Grip was good. Felt confident and comfortable going through corners. Steering is good and quick. Will be interesting to see how many k`s I get out of em.
Very happy with the service at Gold Coast motorcycle tyres N bikes at Mermaid Beach. $500 covered both tyres and new brake pads fitted all round.
Cheers Sean

both shaun and i have over 3300 k's on the new m3 metzlers, while the big guys oem d208 on the 12 was disintergrating on the way back from the island (with less than 3500 k's) we were cruising on merrily.
the grip so far has been unquestionable - even trying to get it to spin up on the bonang just resulted in lots of small wheelies out of the corners.
here is a photo of my tire when i got back, as i said this has over 3300 k's on it and it still looks like it's got a bit left yet. i wouldnt be surprised if i get over 6K out of the rear, thats about 1K more than the last M1 lasted and it didnt do an island trip.
