LAMS for Vic (perhaps)
Atricle in yesterdays Herald Sun headlined "Elephant on minibike". A
state MP is bidding to have tall or fat p-plate motorcycle riders
allowed to ride more powerful motorcycles.
Liberal MP Victor Perton last night moved a bizarre amendment in state
Parliament to allow larger people to ridebikes with bigger negines than
250cc.
Mr Perton said he had introduced the amendment on behalf of an unnamed
but rather big constiuent.
He is a tall big man who is extremelty uncomfortable on a small bike Mr
Perton said.
"He..... looks like an elephant riding a minibike."
NB There has been a proposal for LAMS before parliamnet for a while that was presented to them by VMAC, having said that, politicians have a habit of hearing other politicians and not many others so this might well be the stimulus to get it over the line.

Re: LAMS for Vic (perhaps)
RG, IF the bill gets up and IF it gets up in only that form, then it is indeed discrimination. Someone would have to decide what is fat and what is tall, that opens up a massive shitcan of worms.RG wrote:I see that as discrimination...
IF LAMS gets up it would have to be for all motorcyclists otherwise it throws the whole anti discrimination and policial correctness bullshit down the shithouse.
Fernwood gyms have a standing agreement as far as discrimination goes but (I believe) that's about the only case where it's allowed.

tall or fat people should have to....
pay for TWO public transport tickets
pay for TWO theatre tix and if over...200cm high be banned
pay MORE for car rego...more weight causes MORE road damage
and
more for health insurance/Medicare as statistics PROVE
overweight people require more health care
and tall people..more physio/chiro
and then its NOT discriminating
all of which is tongue in cheek
and as a former fattie...would never wish the above....

Talk about the shit hitting the fan

This is in NSW it works quite well, a mate
(and a very good one) jumped on my zeal 250 and almost killed it because of his size,(he is a mate) where as i am only 60-70kg. Needless to say he rides a roadtrail 660LAMS approved bike.
PS the 250 still used to blow him off

In every other state they're limited to a max of 650cc so good luck with thatSaki wrote:i think that means i will need a LAMS approved ZX10R just cause mentally i weigh 200kg. Physically only 90kg but 110kg give or take
