Coils- Zxr250

Post by Lozza »

Hi guys,

Has anyone ever attempted to replace coils? (I'm assuming I have the correct technical name for them :D )

I'm not too sure if the boyfriend (who is a Mechanic) will know what he's doing. Maybe I'm better off booking it in to get done at a Kawasaki dealer?

I have been quoted $99 (each) for a used one or $182 for new

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Cheers,
Loz

If the coils are the igition coils it should be an easy change under the tank.

Just think of the money you save by doing it yourself.

Personaly i would go the new coils, just got this thing about used parts on a bike. Cars on the other hand who cares. If something goes wrong if wont fall over.
