Yeah what Bob said, however I regularly run as low as 20psi in my tyres due to being a lazy bastard & not checking them unless I go to a trackday.
I don't ride my bike very often like others on here so Probably why I get away with it.....

sorry to bump an old thred guys...
was just wondering what woudl be recomended for a set of pilot powers
i was told 40 rear and 38 front. this seems good but was lazy for a bit and checked my tyres and the rear was 36 and front about the same and this felt pretty good however the wear seemed to be worse!
any 1 know that would be best
ohh also dont know if this is relevant but im about 110kg

the bike is an 03 6r so pretty much the same as an 04Barrabob wrote:what bike rotaboy???
You have to get a tyre gauge and trial ad error it but if its a six with powers 33f 36 rear and if the front feels rolly got to 34f but i found bridgestones need more presure.
i havent really done a lot of experiementing as ive only had the bike for about 2 months it was just i didnt ride it for about a week then went for a strap and the cornering seemed alittle more confident then went to pump up the tyres saw how low they were (about 35ish) then pumped back up to 40 rear and 38 front and again the bike maybe a little nervous

dont worry about what the manual says.Saki wrote:i had 45psi in my rear but backed it off to 40psi and 35psi in the front.
My bike is still fitted with the standard tyres and the manual says 36 for the front and 40 for the rear, plus the tyres says the same thing and they are brideo battlax.
36psi front / 38psi rear when cold.
