Arse Pad

Post by Yankee »

I'm sure I could "knock one up" from bits via Clarke's Rubber, but does anyone know where to get a more proper pad that goes behind the rider on a single-seat bike?
It will be going on a nice flat surface, nothing tricky on my ducktail.
Just thought that I'd try to make the seat "fit" a bit better.
Cheers
:D

You could try a wreckers for a GSX-R single-seat pad - I have one of these for a race bike, they fit into a cut-out section on the ducktail, but should be pretty easy to adapt with some stick-on velcro strips ? Other than that, making your own from a piece of high-density foam rubber from Clarks is probably going to be your best bet.

Most of the racers seem to use foam from Clark Rubber (or the like) too...

Here's a pic of what I did. Not very close though. I actually stuck 25mm foam in three bits to build up the layers. I will take it off and slope the back so it runs parallel with the rear seat. It was really easy to cut out on a band saw. You can slope the table so it gives you a tapered look. Works a treat...especialy when you have 'armouralled' your seat.

Cheers all. Hoffy, that website has some cool pads in it, but not quite what I was looking for... yet. Maybe when I have a few hemroids?
