http://users.on.net/amckay/bike/blue_tank/
The images are sizey (200+K).
I'm going to send the same URL to Boltons to see what they think about it.
I hope you can see it from the image, pretty much the tank seems to have a weird blue tint to it in certain areas (around teh south edge of the fuel cap, left side of the tank, right side where the leg goes and also directly behind the tank protector), however the airbox cover is nice and black.
Does anyone else have a black ZX6 or know someone that does, and if so do they have the same cosmetic anomaly?
Ta,
Az

I don't know if this helps but the 2000 ZX9r appeared black until you looked closely and it was purple so with Kawa you never know.
My E1 surprised me when I saw it in the sun for the first time and realised that the dark blue paint is metallic.
Kawasaki paint jobs have always had a unique quality.

Its just a blue bike, and if you are going to see Neka take your lube with you.
Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD

hahahah
Well, it only shows up in direct sunlight, it's hard to get the definition with the camera.
And it's patchy, which is also strange, i.e. there's a little half circle maybe 4mm wide line under the tank cap.
Collette: if you read this can you comment please? It doesn't worry me too much, as obviously it's ridable but it annoys me a little

Well the bike is totally unsafe and should not be ridden.
It is also going to unregistable because of this.
Guess all you can do is flog if off to try and get some money back.
Cause I am such a nice person i'll give you $500 for it.
