OPH Riders Warning
Just a warning to those of us who ride the OPH. I had a call from a mate yesterday morning warning me that the coppers were out using unmarked vehicles - a white Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII and an R1.

Re: OPH Riders Warning
Not to sound cynical or anything, but would that be the same R1 the coppers are supposed to have been using up the Old Rd when I first started going up there in 1998, or have they upgraded to a current one?dave#3 wrote:Just a warning to those of us who ride the OPH. Re: OPH Riders Warning
I agree, the R1 rumour seems to come out all the time - a few weeks back it was an '06 GSX-R 750 too. It's possible it's all rumour and innuendo, but if it is rumour and innuendo they're at least keeping up with the times, it's rumoured to be 2006 model R1.I-K wrote:Not to sound cynical or anything, but would that be the same R1 the coppers are supposed to have been using up the Old Rd when I first started going up there in 1998, or have they upgraded to a current one?dave#3 wrote:Just a warning to those of us who ride the OPH. ... and, what's more, as well as being wary of the coppers, what about those FREAKIN' CYCLISTS????
They are dead-set mental.
Came around a corner, not too quick, to find them riding 3-4 abreast. Gave them a toot and they all started yelling and gesturing, like it's my responsibility NOT to kill them, and to go on the WRONG side of the road to protect them...
Come the revolution!

When I was in adelaide and went to mt. lofty (nice twisties) I saw heaps of cyclist at 7pm!! Can't imagine what it would be like in the morning.
Lucky for us victorians, the blackspur and reefton are bit too far to pedal
Are you saying these smooth-legged lycras can be hostile ?
