Well it's back, will play with the settings today and ride to see how much better it is. It allready seems better just getting on and off as it will actualy squat's a bit (never used to). Terry advised he could put a softer spring as they are designed for a rider around the 90kg plus a pillion but being 70kg and a pillion once in a blue moon, well i decided to retain the original spring as a track day now and then i could do with the stiffer spring. Time to play with settings now to realy injoy a decent ride.

did you get your forks done as well? or have they been rebuilt or modified before?
after i got the ohlins rear shock, i found it made the front end three times worse, it just wasnt coping hence why i decided to bite the bullet and get the gold valve job done, and its done the job, also with a pillion the bike's super stable even tho i shortened the wheelbase by taking a few links out of a new chain when i fitted it.
Got back from a ride i can honestly say it is fantastic!!!!
The bike has never felt so good before. Haven't played with rebound dampening as yet but i am over the moon so far, and this can only get better.
As for the front it was done just before i bought the bike. I have done the cable ties on the front and they are sitting at about 25mm from the bottom after hard braking (note to self: stoppies are friggin scary ) but all in all it feels great.

They do work on road ! but are indifferent on the track as they are not needed due to the consistent & smooth road surface.

A suspension mechanic, who actually knows what they are doing, can revalve your standards units (on the later stuff, forget the earlier stuff, it needs junking ) with the correct valving to suit the rider, where and how they ride!!!!! All without the need to fit Gold valves!
Maybe some of you guys who bought them should surf the net for a Flux Capacitor relay to go with them, I here they make all the difference!!!!!

Apparently....I must have claimed somewhere that I was a suspension guru??? I must have missed that???? I actually thought, that I said my suspension guy does my work and HE KNOWS what he is doing???? Must be getting senile in my old age!!!!!!! Errr carry on!

There is something to be said about learning to ride on an evil handling spaghetti framed shitter with no compression or rebound to speak of, springs 4kg too soft, and tyres skinnier than Paris Hiltons hips!
I guess it kinda teaches you the difference between a bike moving around and an actual slide!!!!!
