No it shouldnt, maybe try new copper washers the end it leaks.
When you are doing it check that there is no corrosion or other imperfections there.
Even if its not that it wont cost you much.
Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD

When you say from the clutch,do you mean oil from around the clutch housing or do you mean clutch fluid from around the actuator(clutch piston)? Can you be more specific?

No that will just make it "spongy".
If its not leaking from the hose or banjo then it can only be the slave seal.
Theres nothing else there.

Yeah sounds like the slave cylinder. The busas do this all the time.
Because its near the front sprocket and they dont have any sort of cover over them, all the shit off the chain gets into the slave cylinder and chews the seal out.If your lucky you might get away with a new seal, but if the bore of the cylinder is chewed out also, you will need a new slave cylinder.
I dont know how much kawasaki charges, but a busa one was about $120.

hmm, that flaw in the busa design sounds exactly like what's happening to my RF. i rode the bike to work tonight for the first time since double fly by's at the end of last year (dec 22nd) and i found a little dribble of clutch fluid below my bike.

Going to take the thing apart and replace the slave seal in my days off, hopefully the cyl/piston isnt rooted.

I have had two probs with mine on the 7. Corrosion of the cylinder wall on the slave cylinder which then leaked clutch fluid and then an oil leak from the shaft seal behind the slave cylinder. both are common probs on the 7.
