NOOOoooooo.
Really glad your still with us Marty. abandon ship with haste saved
your life by the sound of it. Hope you heal quick and then have a big
relapse to two wheels. U turns and poles are not allowed on the track.
Good luck with the courts and justice etc.
Will miss chasing you on your 6.

I know how you feel... well almost.... I never got injured so was lucky..... but I have decided to take a couple of years of road riding to see whether I want to get another road bike....and allow the insurance to recover a bit
But after doing a few trackdays on my roadbike, road riding really lost a lot of appeal, as all I wanted to do was really get on it, but alas I had to behave somewhat.... so after writing off my roadie, which strangely enough def did not involve any spirited riding, just a simple lapse of concentration, I decided that the track was the place for me.....
and to be honest, i do miss going for rides with mates, but save it all for the track, where I can go as quick as I can without danger to my licence, of course there is still risk of injury, but as you never hit the track without full gear, and there are ample run off areas, that risk is acceptable to me
I couldn't give up riding, but def am happy enough to limit myself to the track for the time being
Anyway, hope you recover quickly, and beat that dodgy ticket!

Sounds like you are out of hospital which is a good thing, get someone to wheel you into a probono legal practice or ring one of those biker lawyers that advertise in amcn to help your cause......whern't run over by a off duty copper where you.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?

glad your okay mate this happened to a guy not long ago on my street and the rider was killed police were looking for witnesses to that accident you would think its an open shut case when someone does a u-turn they gota give way to everything...
this rule you cant overtake a vehicle on the right hand side if it has its right hand indicator on, does this mean we got to give way to vehicles chuckn u-turns or just pulling out willynilly in front of us
in this case motorists are licensed to kill no wonder you want out
but mate go down fighting
