Bridgerock BT014's

Post by Strika »

Just had a set of BT014's fitted (The cheapies from sportsbike tyres $299 and they do all the work  ) to the 9. It's a fair old hike out to Knoxfield or wherever it is I went, but for $300 who can complain hey!

I used the 014's on my 2005 636 when I had it, and absolutely loved them as a road tyre. They don't get quite as good a mileage as the M3's do, but at half the price, I don't care, and the grip levels are equal to, if not a little better than the M3's.

I have only ridde nthem home so they arn't completely scrubbed yet..nearly..but not quite. I couldn't find enough turns on the way home.

If my wife complains again about how many tyres I go through, I just going to show her how many sets you've gone through in the last 12 months ;)

I could probably tell you roughly!!! Let's see,

05 636, One set of 002's in Jan 06 then sold it
Hornet- Originals then three sets of Rennsports.
ZX9R- 5 sets (5th set just went on)

So lets see that makes....9 sets of tyres in 12 months at an average of $450 a set, just on $4000 in tyres in a year....shiiiiiiiit!!!

He prolly bought em off a racer who used em for a ride day or somefink! Or maybe he let Photomike or Stereo ride it at the last track day. It's prolly the last time it was ever ridden too!!! What was that???? October or November LAST YEAR?

Mate I think we need a section for Strika's tyre tests.

Keep 'em coming old son. Who needs magazine tyre test when we have the official KSRC tyre tester. 8)
