Lowering the front of a ZX7R

Post by Burky »

As it suggests the i was going to lower the front forks a little bit, maybe 5-10mm.
the question is how?
I was going to remove all farings support frame, unbolt tripples and move forks up but wasn't sure. Is there anything i should be aware of or is it that simple??

if you've got a headstem front stand and can get to the lower triples you don't even need to remove your fairings

but you're basically right. Remember to have them both even when you do it and you WILL lose ground clearance at the front.

Your steering will also most likely quicken at the expense of possibly reduced straight line stability.
