Could be, or he could just be having trouble holding his tongue given how we've seen MG fuck up over the years. Getting done DUI and riding on a suspended licence three times each in six years, plus writing off one bike in a traffic light drag and crashing another on a large roundabout are signs of someone persisting in something they're not particularly good at to begin with and not improving with experience.

If that's a not a glaring big flashing sign that says "You should quit while you're ahead!", then I'm not quite sure I know what is.

Sorry, but riding sportsbikes fast on public roads in the 21st century is deadly business. It's about the closest any of us are likely to get to being fighters in a guerilla war and, like a group of guerillas, we really don't need someone drawing excess attention to what we do.

If I'm riding in a group with someone who's on a suspended license, or with a long history of DUI, and we get stopped and the cops pull up their record, that increases the chances of them then giving my bike and me a more thorough going over than they otherwise would. It increases my chances of being given a bogus defect for bald tyres or a non-functioning brakelight. Frankly, I can do without that sort of attention from those who'd stop me doing this.

MG seems fun enough, but I'd think twice about riding with her and I'm generally not much for patting someone on the back for seeing the obvious.

All very valid points fellas and ur all right to have your opinions. Anyways, because I've decided that I'm too fuckin stupid to be on a bike I'M making the decision to stay off them... that and the fact that I cant ride anyways.

blackninja said to me last night that he was going to write - he's 6'3" and 115kgs and I dont listen to him why would I listen to anyone else... he makes more sense than me ALL of the time. Still, I'm not saying that everything I've done is a good thing but I AM saying this time I have definately learnt the lesson and cleaning up my act by not riding anymore is a start, putting my head down at work and finishing this diploma WILL be a big step in my 'growing' up.

Besides... if I kept riding the way I do... there would be three kids without a stupid mother who is meant to be some role model... Bollocks!

Well buddy I personally think it takes a lot of guts to realize when your wrong and although I don't agree with what you have done (yes it's was just plain stupid, I agree with Damon) you have admitted fault and have even gone that step further and not riding any more. Just glad that you have seen that perhaps you shouldn't be on a bike but more so importantly the thing that I think means more than anything was your quote below. Good on you and I wish you all the best in everything and anything you decide to do...
