But I have to admit pillion pegs are the first thing ditched when I get a bike and none of mine has them. I had to dig out the ones for the 12 when Lainie came up...![]()
Normally that part gets CUT off the pipe side hanger so she was lucky I had a C/F one on the bike at the time and still had the original.![]()
Benno has lots of toys

Aww thanks for doing that FroggyReally it was something I will NEVER forget
Oh and Blade I agree nothing wrong with a Honda, I am looking at a few myself... I would Pillion with u![]()

If you've survived the Frogster, then I have no doubt you can handle my riding
Is inviting someone for a ride just a way to get some?

I prefer going 2 up, its more fun for me, and belle is set up to go hard 2up, shes kinda rough solo, but with someone on the back things settle down nicely, i can get up it a bit more also due to having more weight over the back wheel providing just a little extra traction
I enjoy having someone on the back, if theyre a close friend its a very intimate experience, if theyre not, it still is whether you admit it or not:D
as for using it to get laid....bah, i do fine with wimmen till i take my helmet off, then im dead in the water:D, so i dont bother

I occasionally get on the back of Jeff's Z1000, usually only for short runs to the movie cinema etc. He reckons that I am a good pillion, he can't tell that I am on the back, which has probably come with practice from a few years pillioning before I got my licence. I won't pillion for any long rides, I get bored on the back, and very uncomfortable!
Cheers,
Anne

No sir i don't like it.
If I'm going for a ride it's usually to engage in some shennanigans.
Being responsible for someone elses neck tends to pull my head in.
Tho I made sure i got a 2 seater bike this time with enuff grunt for 2 up (06 Zx10R) so I could ride with Lisa on the back and have a wee scratch rather than have her take her bike and me tear off into the distance only to be told off at the next stop for leaving her behind...
I'm taking it nice and easy with her so far and as her tolerance for lean angles builds.....

Hell no lainie, im gonna rig a camera on the back of my lid pointing straight down, then ima gonna ride over every speedhump in sydney with you jiggling the whole way
YAY for youtube, i should charge admission, ill make a motza
We used to take people (read as: semi drunk half harlots) in the Cross for blats up to camp cove, watsons bay, palm beach etc
had 4 one night rock on up, me on my c model and 3 mates on their tractors, we all decided to do a run up to watsons bay through the twisties.
the one designated to go with me was heard to respond, im not getting on the jap crap, to which i replied, thats fine sweety, you can sit here with the deros and the hookers, we be going riding.
She got on
as weve come down thru double bay i was side by side with a mate who knew *exactly* what was coming when i started cogging down, he just yelled see ya up at the pub and waved,as i then nailed sapphire wide open and took off, pillion squealed like a pig all the way to the top, teach her to call my sapphire crap:D
funnily enough after pillion rotation was suggested, she refused to get on anything other than the "jap crap" for the trip back down
Pillions with me are given a choice
I can ride like i love you or i can ride like im trying to impress
option 2 not to be taken unless youre willing to go to plaid

I'm not a big fan of taking pillions, mainly because I'm not all that practiced at it. I take it very easy, probably too easy, with a pillion on. I got a bit of practice when Seraph did her wrist, and it did get easier with practice.
There's a lot to be said for being the other way round. When I'm on the back and the chick is taking me pillion, its great. Mind in neutral, don't have to worry so much about traffic etc. Had a great experience pillion leaving the 05 GP, when there's that big procession out of the circuit. I was waving to everyone, taking photos, perving on the other pillions. I didn't even mind being on a Honda, because I knew the rider didn't know about the KSRC sticker I just put on the swingarm.
Boy/boy combos? Ok for transport purposes, but like I-K I reserve the right to feel weird about it.

Twasn't I that made the above quote... you'd better search back before offering any more rides Leo....

guys,
nothing wrong with taking a pillion, its actually more fun especially if the pillion knows what he/she's doing.
like I-K said, better traction with more weight over the back wheel.
i could go on and post a heap of photos.. but i've put them up in another thread (from ages ago) and don't see the need for a rehashing.
but i'll put this link in...

taken yesterday on a nice brisk run up macquarie pass, and with the missus on board too.

I don't mind taking pillions, gives non riders the bike experience without having to learn to ride (a mate thought the 250 was fast, he's gonna shit on the tdm). Longest ride I've done 2-up was 200km on the zzr.
The narrow handlebars on the zzr made cornering need a bit of muscle and every fidget was felt. The TDM is a different story, pillion can do their own thing and you don't notice it.
