boobi u have always had taste in bikes.Bluefly wrote:A ZX10's definitely in the mix. Just don't want green,
go the cbr in black if u can find it.
with the bikes getting better with years, a 636 puts out the same power a the zx7r and its lighter. It could be an option.
however a black zx10r would be the best

id stay clear of the R1 boobi.... especially being such a petite lady (no offence intended) but they are harder to keep the front end down, and more front end flighty....
if u buy a cbr then ill be super pissed, and ill be able to bag out on u for ever!!
and as i think mina?? stated, the new zx636 would eat randy.... more advanced suspension... only 114cc less but abt the same power, and about 30kg lighter...

i'd stay clear of the modern litre bikes full stop. The ONLY way i'd suggest something else is if you were able to ride the ring off your 250. THEN go up, otherwise you'll just be fast in a straight line, slow in the corners.
Also i'd suggest a (semi) modern 600-750. insurance will be cheaper as its older, also smaller engine serves the same purpose.
If a zx7/zx6 or even a zx9 didn't fill what your looking for and you were (which you seem) keen on the sportsbike, i'd strongly suggest a gsxr600-750 from about 99 -> 03 or so. Any semi modern R6 is getting close to basically just being an oversized 250 in that they require an insane number of revs to do anything. Fun is having that lower down grunt

hey mate as a comparison my 03 6r is just as quick as a mates 03 r1 up to 80-100 km/h as he is to busy trying to stop wheel spin and /or wheelie.
personally i thik the best bike round that would suit ur needs would be the gsx750 - 600 handling but big power and he newer the bike the smaller/ narrower they are. mind u it is a suzuki and u may not like them
just my 2c
rota

your about 500cc off the mark mike, bobbi has been riding a zx7r for as long as i can remember.......mike-s wrote:i'd stay clear of the modern litre bikes full stop. The ONLY way i'd suggest something else is if you were able to ride the ring off your 250.
my 2c worth - have a look at the new zx6, tim made the comment that it felt just like the zx7 - without the weight. power wouldnt be that much different, all 4 of the new 600's were 111 rwhp according to jeff ware from rapid magazine.
matho was also impressed as well and that orange is just spectacular to look at, even at night

Go the 06 10r Bobbi its easier to get both feet down then the last 4 6rs. Also the 9r's up to the F model are lower then the current range cept the "bER6".
I reckon you would love the 02 6r myself great bike similar result to the 7r over all.
Most importantly enjoy the test rides.
