Just replaced my rear M3 at 5,767km, which given the amount of it I left in big black lines through the Snowies isn't too bad an effort. It was just past the wear indicators over most of its width, so I could've maybe squeezed another few hundred out of it, but it wouldn't have lasted to Halls Gap and back next week.
