There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

i will admit, that most bmw's including the mothership k1200LT probably have a better lean angle than an 04 Z1000, but how does abs go when you have the back wheel skipping above the ground?? haha

Yeah....Hoffy reckons it's too fast to take on the 12 on the old road! He mentioned something about changing the venue to Kwinana or E.C. dragstrip! He mumbled something about the 80 hp of the beemer being way too much to take on!Neka79 wrote:thats no GTR...does this mean the challenge is off??
The older git writ.........."i've ridden one of those, a few sportbikes may be in for a shock i'm tipping. they can be rowed along at a fair clip tho ol rs.
you old git "
Thnx Phil! I am starting to feel that way! Faark I hope it rides like a bucket of puss in the twisties! That way the 9 will still get some use!
I'll pick it up sometime next week when I get a chance to do a REVS check and also have the time to get back up there to pick it up! It comes with a RWC so all I have to do is transfer it this time rather than having to get a RWC like I did with the 9.
I may even ride it up to sydney on the next trip if I can get hold of a suitable top box beforehand! I have been surfing around for them too. found these really neatly styled ones for $250. Not cheap, but they are really sleek, and they have a contoured integrated backrest for the pillion which attracted the brides attention!

Bloody !! now you gotta comfy bike for eating up even *more* kays on them long road trips !!!
Congratulations mate, Phil is right about these twins, they can be rowed along at a great pace - I have chased an R1100RS on more than 1 occasion, on the 12, and been embarrassed ( at least on the downhill run !!
)
Looking forward to seeing the new bimmer soon - but you are too young for even associate membership of Ulysses............aren't you ??

Dunno about the rowing mate! This one is for sedate one and two up touring!
I am already planning it's maiden (for me) voyage! I plan to depart melbourne on Friday 11th of may about 6pm, and be in Sydney by 5pm on Sunday the 13th! Not sure which way I will go at this stage, but a road I know well, to get to know the beemer is probably the most likely choice! So maybe the supers run in reverse or the Cathcart run!
