So Who's the one planting Stickers in Melbourne?

Post by echunda »

G'day,
Found a sticker on my steed and thougth hey, I'm already part of 6 other bike forums, why not one more :D

Me,

I'm a bike nut, I own 2 ZX6r's (1 x 96 daily runner, For sale 3.5K ono and a '99 black one with a bit of bling) and a TM250 dirt bike.

Ride from Olinda or Dandenong to Melbourne every day. South Eastern Freeway is a crazy place and I don't think will ever change.

I work for IBM as a tactical buyer for the Telstra project.

I get annoyed with people on new bikes with new leathers. They're too pussy to lean the damn thing over, but fly past me at 200 Km/h on the straights only to hold me up around the corners.

I enjoy beer and Kenny's my hero.

Welcome aboard Echunda!
You must ride like a Motorcycle courier if you use the eastern carpark daily!!! We refer to those with the new leathers and spanker bike as "all the gear...no idea!!" ;) Just hose em once in the twisties.

Send A PM to Z900/ZX9 about that ZX6 you got for sale. He may be interested if it hasn't done a million klms!

Just remember, if you are part of other forums, you may not understand or care for half the stuff in here, and the other half you'll just think is crap!!! Oh...while I don't care if you're a member of the bum lickers motorcycle web board or not, some people in here have been banned from socialising with other forums' members due to their lack of socialising skills!!!!!  So you may just wanna keep you're other allegiances quiet!

welcome mate..

I took my weekend car (yes car.. *flamesuit on*) up past whittlesea on sunday. there was a heap of bikes out there and definitely a mix of riding styles, some totally flying through the turns..

While I cant wait till next weekend weather permitting to take my bike up there, i have an old bike, and no leathers just gortex but I have no doubt I might hold some people up through the corners but we all gottah learn somewhere. I'd rather be cautious than drop it after just getting it.

ps. Kenny is a legend.

Thanks boys and girls, warmest welcome ever!!!!

I'm mainly part of dirt bke forums.

Yeah, I do split lanes. Riding dirt is handy, just treat the cars as meoving trees!

The 96 has got about 75k on the clock. Still strong though, I'm only 59kg so I don't need to thrash it to go fast.

I'm amazed when I hear 'oh, NetRiders are bloody wankers' or 'weekend riders are a bunch of poofs'.

Has the old motorcycle gang rivalry gone geeky and online?

Oops...a little off topic.

I ride dirt or road most weekends and 'have' to ride Mt Dandenong to get to work a couple times a week. What a shame!

Looking forward to going for a ride (no cafe stops in St Kilda thanks) with you all soon.

Will post pics when I know how.

There are a mix of people in here. The ones you picked on at school....well, you just pick on them in here now!! The ones who beat you up at school....well once again same in here, and the ones who assisted and offered intelligent thoughts based on experience to coach and guide newer riders....well they've never been in here!!!!!

Now don't start talking down your ability now!!! You made a big call naming those who are straight line terrorists, now you will have to live up to your rep on the next KSRC ride!!!!!!!

Welcome aboard,

If yours was one of the two ZX6s parked somewhere close to Southbank - it was me that left the sticker. I was careful enough not to touch the bike aside from slide the sticker under the tab on the fuel cap - I fully understand the feeling of other people pawing your bike.

BTW, I may have a new bike but my leathers are old - and I prefer corner speed to straight line speed, I've never got my knee down on the road, but did first day at the track.

Right on!!!

I'm not at all concerned about a sticker on bike. I'm sure some old derro's pissed on it before. I've walked downs stairs one day to find some bastard sitting on my bike playing racer boy!!! Scared the crap out him. Was good value just seeing his face. Good thing it was the daily runner.

I much prefer corner speed to straight line spped, and I scrape my toes a bit on the road, but I don't go crazy. Armco is scary stuff.

I'm selling my bikes so I can either buy a new dirtbike or an older dirt bike and a track project.

Good to meet you and hope to be on a ride soon.
