Re: I had a rim job......
Looks great - how did you deal with the rear brake fluid thingo? It's mounted on the same bracket as the rear pegs and the heat shield. Looks like you have the heat shield still on, so what holds the other side?

Re: I had a rim job......
The fluid reservoir is still screwed to the exhaust heat shield and the hose connecting it to the rear brake is very stiff. Between the two, i dont think its going anywhere.

My 99 has polished rims but from my interest in riding rather than cleaning bikes they've oxidised a bit. I've been tossing up weather to go and get them re polished or have them done by that bing mob on Ferntree Gully Rd Wantirna (can't remember their name ATM).
Love the rims, hate cleaning them though

Erm you could take em to Brighton Kawasaki and get em done for $275 - remove polish refit - and have em done by me. Or remove your own and bring em to me direct for a better pricebambam wrote:Ratmick,Ratmick wrote:Very impressive mate, where did you get the rims done, and how much did they sting you?
I presume they took the wheels off, removed the tyres and refitted everything...?
I took the bike to Redline Motorcycles in Dandenong. Tristan there was incredibly helpfull and i'd recommend him to anyone. They charged me about $340 to do the whole thing including removing the wheels, storing the bike overnight, removing brake discs and then refit. The tyres didnt have to come off for an outter edge polish. Joey from outeredge in Narre Warren did the actual polishing. You can take your rims there and he charges alot less to do it but then you got the hassle of removing/refitting the wheels and storing the bike.

Just a shameless plug
