Hofmann Sacked
From crash.net:
As suspected on Sunday evening, Alex Hofmann has been sacked by the Pramac d'Antin Ducati Team for pulling out of the Portuguese Grand Prix due to a lack of motivation.
Hofmann, who had to start from the pit lane on his spare bike, withdrew from last place with 17 of the 28 laps remaining, saying, "I don't have the motivation to fight for the last positions."
This infuriated Luis d'Antin's team, who warned on Sunday that they reserved the right to drop Hofmann for the remaining four rounds of the 2007 MotoGPseason – and have now done so.
A to-be-announced substitute rider will thus join Alex Barros from this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix, with Chaz Daviesthought to be top of the list. Davies successfully replaced an injured Hofmann at Laguna Seca and recently completed a two day test for Ducati.
Meanwhile, Hofmann now has no chance of staying with the d'Antin team next season and - despite being the only German rider in MotoGP - may be forced to start a new career in Superbike racing.

Re: Hofmann Sacked
I know it's incredibly petty, but after he took Pitty and McCoy's spots on the Kwaka's because Eckl wanted a German and then he never performed, I got a fuzzy feeling everytime I saw he was at the back of the grid. This just confirms my feelings about him...up your's Nobmann

Re: Hofmann Sacked
Yeah his "I don't WANNA ride" tanty was absolutely fucking pathetic. There's thousands of riders out there who'd give limbs and vital organs for a few laps on a GP bike, this sook can fuck right off.

Re: Hofmann Sacked
It must run in the family..........I know a few Hoffmans, and they all can't ride, and they are all wimps???? It appears to be a common theme!

Re: Hofmann Sacked
Wasn't last place still about thirteenth? If so then they would have picked up a couple of points.
I have seen both Rossi and Hayden fight for one point inthe last two seasons. I guess that is the difference between a rider and a racer.
Hoffman is a big pea heart and favours the company of other men.
