It's actually Ron who rides the Blackbirds, I had an '02 Fireblade until I wrote it off last year. It's ZX10's all the way now for me!

Re: Flywheels new store
Are these guys good or what?
Just gave them a call for a temp sender for my 96 zx6. Nick answered the phone, gotta say its good that the sales manager answers, it doesn't happen elsewhere. Promptly put me through to Craig in spares (who had literally walked back in from a ride, with leathers and back pack still on) and gave me the best price for the part so far. $40incl GST for a temp sender is steep, I work in the parts industry so I know what it's really worth, but its a whole lot better than the rude $75+ that the theives at Team Moto Parramatta wanted, and better still than the $57+ that the folks out at Kellen Kwaka Penriff asked.
My only problem now is its back ordered, anything from 3 days to 8 weeks
But i suppose I've gone without it for this long, 8 weeks more wont hurt. So I guess I'll be checking out the shop next week, or in 8 Weeks

It's not just these guys that have this problem. Got my bike back last week after it was in the shop for 6 weeks waiting on bits (ducktail & shift linkages) that were on backorder from Kawasaki Aus.Poyda wrote:My only problem now is its back ordered, anything from 3 days to 8 weeksBut i suppose I've gone without it for this long, 8 weeks more wont hurt. I wasn't even on it at the time.

You may not know this, but that would be Maurie Quincey! He was an extremely talented road racer in the 50's, really really talented!! They say, he was even better than Ray was before his accident.
Obviously he's getting a bit old and those riding skills havn't translated into Daimler driving skills in his latter years!!!

Re: Flywheels new store
Well I hope everyone is taking a keen interest in the photo competition this year. There have been some great entries already and there is still over 4 months to go!
Business has been steadily increasing as expected with the better weather and of course the word of mouth advertising we have been getting. We are discovering that naked bikes and sports bikes are are main sellers (as you would expect in the city) and this has allowed all of us here to realise just how good the new Kawasaki models are. They have come so far in the last five years it is staggering, they were well off the pace with their sports models for quite a while there, but now they are as good as, and in some cases better than, all the rest. I am aware this comment will raise a few hackles but the facts are the facts. That I am selling Kawasaki now on a sole basis is testament to my belief in the quality of the new products.
How has everyone been? Haven't had a member come in lately to say hi, hopefully you have all been out riding and taking photos of yourselves and your chariots for the contest ha ha!
Have a top weekend everyone
Nick

Re: Flywheels new store
This month has been CRAZY busy, very happy with the entire experience to date. A lot of new bikes being bought now and we have sold as many units this month as we did in our first three! There have been a lot of referrals from new and existing customers which is pleasing as it shows we are doing something right here!
I will be working at the Motorcycle show in Homebush for all three days if anybody wants to come and say 'Hi'. My boss, Ron, will be there with me on the Sunday so please come and introduce yourselves.
Have a great weekend
Nick
