Concrete Floor coverings.

Post by Nanna10r »

My Garage is all but complete & i was wondering what to seal the concrete floor with. Does any one have any experience with this sort of thing. I was thinking of a rubberised paint or ?. It'll be driven on & generally have the usual hazardous chemical spills i'd imagine. Petrol, diesel, thinners etc.
Thanks in advance for the advice. ;)

Best stuff is Jotun brand Polyurethane.
Prep is the key to getting a finish, otherwise it all blisters and peels. It may be exxie but it is worth grinding the concrete first.
Go here;

look up : concrete grinder - single head. Around about $160 for 24 hrs includes purchase cost of carborundum stones. Allow 24 hrs to get it right - its slow and time consuming work depending on the quality / age of your concrete.
I got a sweater for my birthday. I realy wanted a moaner or a screamer.

seal it and then get some carpet , works brilliant when you are out there crawling around the floor

either get it for free from someone you know or check out the tradingpost search for demolition , find a house local that they are going to knock down and grab some carpet from them , nice people will give it to you or cough up 5-10 bucks or
beer

when it gets a bit dirty then bin in and get some more
