We have just received a virus from Live messenger . I received a file from one of my contacts which said she had a photo for me to have a look at. I opened it and crash went the computer. Luckily it looks like deleting off MSN has got rid of it. Just be careful what you open before opening it.

yeah I got that one a while back it's a bastard cuz then it sends itself to all your friends too and cuz I'm such a nice, trustworthy person ( 
) they all stupidly opened it, as I did... suckers. The free AVG anti-virus software cleared it up for me in the end

AVG Free didn't pick anything up on ours but all is good now.

Might not be the same piece of malware... there are a bajillion of them out there that vector in via MSN alone. its a bloated peice of malwa... erm software. i think "windows live" is just the latest version of windows msn. added features and crap that half the users will never use or even know about.
