Welcome aboard Flexorcist. There's been a few in here that have had and currently have ZX7's, so answers shouldn't be too far away. Hope to see you out on a ride sometime soon.

Welcome flex. Not a large number of 7 riders here but am sure there are a few that have had them that can help, mainly 6,s, 9's (lot of 9's actually), 10's, the odd sports barge (12) and a couple of cruisers (14's) here.

Re: hey new member from fairfield VIC
don't get me wrong, wish i hadda bought a 9 or a thou, but alas, hadn't ridden in 9 months and well, wanted to ease back into it. i'm a pretty sh!thouse rider, (except for being a traffic f*cker), but a 750 is quite a capable trackbike if and when i improve, plus as you said, not as many around. i woulda been happy with a 600 except for 2 things - rear tyre width, hahaha, but seriously, i know 600s are fine as a track bike and quite good on twisties, but my rides usually involve heavy traffic so i wanted that tad more torque for fun (column b), but more importantly, to be a bit lazy with the throttle.mick_dundee wrote:Welcome flex. may seem odd choices but hey, love my bike!!! a few people find them heavy and uncomfortable, now i'm only a scrawnbag but i'm fair tall, prob just under 6', and i find it comfy as hell. for me to be bum up head down, i gotta lean right back against the pillion seat and into an uncomfy posi. for normal riding it fits me fantastically, (maybe not to more experienced riders but for my own comfort i find it fantastic).
question for any 7 riders.... just a curiosity thing not an i intend to constantly do it thing - does my riding position prevent/inhibit power monos?? i rarely, if ever, "snap" open the throttle, but riding solo she gets a lil light on the front end but just goes, with a pillion i could be scratching my balls and get the front end pointing towards the sky.
obviously the weight at the back does it, but riding solo, will they power mono easy if i snap it open or does it require me to purposefully intend on doing a mono?? the pillion ones i did weren't intentional, i actually wanted to go very f'n fast in a straight line, not straight up!!! the front wheel skipping can get annoying, i just want to know if i snap it more should i be covering the rear brake??
sorry for long ramblin post

mate the 7's have a LOT of fans in here... they are, and were an awesome bike... to guys like me, it was THE bike that changed my outlook on bikes....
awesome for the track too- thats what they were designed for!!...
as for wheelies, i havent ridden a 7 , so im not sure how to make em come up, im sure clutching would make it happen... and yea..cover ur rear brake in case...
