its a piss easy job- one of the young lasses who rides a nc30 (vfr400) just did hers without any help..and shes not the most..umm..mechanically minded girl...lol
I think those ones have a big nut on the inside of the fairing, you may have to losen the panel and undo the bolt from there. It should be an easy job. Or just rip the farker out and stick the new one in with gaffa tape.
If it's the same as the ZX9 Which it probably is as I replaced one of mine with one off a ZX6, you will need to unplug the wires to both indicators, remove the nosecone undo the screw in the baseplate, pry baseplate from the rubber, pry other plate out and carefully pull the rubber through the hole in the fairing. Before removing the nosecone, check in the where your front wheel is for a removable access panel to get at the back of it, you may be lucky enough to have one, my bike does not.
Found the plugs undid them then needed to take the air boxs out to get to bolt totake of front fairing. there is a little 2 piece metal thingy holding the indicator in with the bolt head accessable from the underneath near the forks.
it took me an hour or 2 to take it all down now all i need to do it put it all back together on sunday after the parts and stickers arrive
the next bike i get will be a semi naked like the ER6
Get The arrow style led indicators - i reckon they look best!
I found on my 01 zx6r easiest way to change indicators was to take the whole front nose cone off - pretty easy job - was only 6 screws and 4 bolts i think
