Hi Tim, great to see you at the track on Saturday :D Back protectors come in all different sizes, shapes & prices, so a suggestion would be get yourself to MCA or MAW & try on a few with your leathers on leave a deposit of some discription & go for a ride to test them out. you want the protector to basically cover the length of your spine, but not too long that it wants to sit in your undies  I suggest the ones with the shoulder strap & waist strap that doubles as a kydney belt, I used to have one that just had a strap round the waist & it used to fall down :x & thats a bit destracting. For price I suppose you get what you pay for & I have even seen pieces of foam being used in the PCRA meetings  each to their own

Do a search you'll find this topic has been covred a number of times. Also make sur you have your helmet on when you try one of these on, don't want one too tall that it digs into the lid either.

G'day Tim. As others have said, there are a few threads where this has been discussed before, but, there's a really simple answer. Dainese Wave12

I have one of those, expensive but they're pretty comfortable. I have Duck's disease and even with the short-arse version it sticks out from under my jacket slightly. Not that this is a problem 8).

Phil at Hi side leathers makes BP's as well. The boys are Both Kwaka owners (Multiple in Mick's case, like 5 goers I think)

Most of the locals & Road racers (esp the Juniors) start with them.
