Actually, I think anything is possible! If you have enough time and money, I can't see why you couldn't modify the subframe to make it fit.

Not something I'd do, but heck, if you feel the urge!

If you find a rear fender from an 03 or 04 and a stock exhaust let me know as I am after them. For the life of me I cannot get in contact with the original owner of my 04.

As I am selling it, it would be good to have the original bits. Might put some people at ease.

thanks for the feedback guys

I just thought the tail of the zx2r looks a bit flat compared to some of the stylish pointy tails of the more powerful, newer bikes. (eg. zx-6r)

anyway, ill think of those things later when i actually get the bike. this forum is awesome!

Yep I'm here. Just been out making some one-off subframes. Does that make them 3-offs?
Anyway, if you have the origional 2r sub frame, and a good 6r one, then of course we can make it fit. Even just the 6r panels means we could modify the 2r subframe to fit it.
It is far better to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even if chequered with failure, than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, as they live in grey twilight that knows no victory nor defeat.
