Figured it was something logical like that. I hear good things about the '08 ZX. Think you'll switch back?
Not when it's in it's current form! That said, I do enjoy the R1, as its more comfy for me than my old 10 :)

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, everyone.

DUNIT - Yeah, she's all better now. I actually dropped her in the carpark at Rosin's Lookout, doing 0km/h. Damn, she's a heavy girl!!! It took two months to get it sorted, as it was over Christmas, then PPG stuffed up the paint, yada, yada, yada. I've gained a lot of respect for her weight since then. Once she's moving, I have no problems with it and can throw her around fairly well. It's that static 270-odd wet kg that catches you out.

Thanks. Yeah, she kinda stands out in a crowd. I've even had pedestrians stop to admire her as they were crossing the road. One guy stopped to tell me all about Harlequin and even told me how much it costs. One drop later, I found out he was short by 50%!!!

I bought a bright yellow helmet as I wanted motorists to see me, pure and simple. It's my first helmet (only been riding 3 1/2 years), but I'll probably get something a bit more sexy next time. Will also go for something a whole lot quieter! The wind noise inside that thing is horrific. I wear plugs on anything longer than a five minute hop.

The price of genuine parts and bling is $$$.. but you should find heaps of bargains and advice from "bargain hunters" on KSRC.. just ask.. ;)

Fair point re-the colour...you wont know yourself with a new lid...i've just got a new one after 8 years and although she whistled a bit in the end it was the padding that became too loose... now i have a racing version of my last lid and the difference is awsome.. perfect fit very light and you can take out the lining to clean it...... glad i spent the extra... 8)

Thanks for the welcome and compliments, Robyn. :D

The sign took about a week, but it was a labour of love. I've had a couple of requests to do some for other people, but I just don't know if I want other people to have a gate sign just like mine. It's kinda cool, having a unique piece. Also, I don't think people realise just how much work is involved and how much I'd want to charge for my time.
