Re: question about carby cleaner
carby cleaner comes in a spray can, you neet to take the tank etc off and spray the F@#k outta the carbs. thats what it does.
i think your talking about "injector cleaner" thats the one you put in your fuel tank b4 for fill up.
if thats the case, just chuck it in and go riding

Follow the directions on the back and you cant go wrong.
Is there a reason why you want to do this?

Well it won't hurt but don't expect it to be a miracle cure.

Re: question about carby cleaner
yeah it's more or less pour about a third of a bottle in when you fill up. Remember the directions on the back are generally for cars so dont add a full bottle to 1 tank of petty.
It is also recommended to only use about 2-3 treatments per oil change so if you put a bit in, dump the oil and filter afterwards.

Re: question about carby cleaner
Brendan, when you're following the instructions just remember that your fuel tank is about 17 litres, whilst the instructions are written to assume a tank of 50-70 litres on average - you probably don't want to use the whole bottle in one go, The other thing to consider is that carby cleaner is no substitute for a service if your bike needs one.brendanzxr wrote:Nah mines done more k's.and i think it's time for a service.

Re: question about carby cleaner
Don't waste your money.
I used a full bottle over three tanks and it made no difference.
When I pulled the carbys shortly after, some jets were blocked, diaphragm pistons & bowls sludgy.
Has no effect on dirty carbs, tho might help keep clean carbs clean longer
Cheers, Ronin

Nulon and RC10 are about the only ones worthwhile but NOT too much too often!!
PS .. you leave a bike sitting for five years with stale fuel don't expect a miracle in a bottle!!
