Awesome race - I think Stoner was a bit surprised. Shame he put it in the kitty litter. And Vermuelen!!! At least Ant West is consistent.

From the MotoGP website:
"Kawasaki Competition Manager Michael Bartholemy has warned that an improvement in form is needed from Anthony West.
... The Australian has yet to crack the top ten in 2008, and the team´s Competition Manager Michael Bartholemy has made it clear that a lot of convincing is needed if West is to stay in the series he struggled to join for so many years.
`I know Anthony is disappointed with his performance this weekend, but it´s difficult to identify exactly where his problem is at the moment,´ said Bartholemy after seeing his charge finish one lap down at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix.
`He needs to work hard now to justify his place in MotoGP. The Kawasaki Racing Team is here to secure results, and he needs to convince us he can be a part of that. We will speak to him during the summer break to see if we can find some way of improving his form ahead of the next race.´"
Bummer - hope he gets it together.

I'm rather concerned how hes going to pay off his father that million bucks he owes him. How much do you reckon his contract would of been worth this year? Minus the "performance pay" which he hasn't received a cent of.

How does it concern you? As I don't know either Ant or his father personally, I can only make educated guesses myself. My guess is that his father gave him the money knowing full well that there was a chance that he'd never see a cent of it again.Makybe05 wrote:I'm rather concerned how hes going to pay off his father that million bucks he owes him.

That wasn't the point... the guy's got talent - he's proven it before. I just hope he can get it together on the race bike. Family's family - nothing to do with us, I reckon. Do parents who put their kids through high school for $70,000 expect to get paid back?

Yeah its all just speculation, but it would of been nice to pay his father off!aardvark wrote:How does it concern you? I think the zx-rr is possesed, all it does is try and maim anyone who tries to race it!
As for Westy hope he finds something during the break and return firing for the second half of the season.
