walking, nah, just listened for results, never watched it.
Ping pong, its a contender, but the fact it reminds me of Forest Gump is its only saving gracee.
Synchronised swimming has not graced my tv, even by accident.
Water polo, its good.

To me the biggest contender for yawnfest is dressage, always has been, always will. I mean, what the fuck?

I have to agree with most other's here.. I hate walking, any equestrian, any sailing, any running or cycling or swimming over 1500ms, and synchronized swimming suck…

In winter Olympics... I hate figure skating, even if the girls are hot!..... I just want to see still pics of the hotties..

As for the ‘why the hell is this in the Olympics?” category I have to ask… HANDBALL? What the hell is the go with this stupid sport? It’s ridiculous. Of course also the above mentioned sports that I hate to watch.

Synchronised swimming is an absolute waste of time and can hardly be classed as a sport to begin with, followed VERY closely by dressage and rythmic gymnastics, it's dancing with a ribbon for fark sake! Don't get me wrong, i don't have a problem with gymnastics at all! rythmic gymnastics however, is craptacular!
This beer is making me AWESOME!

Agreed... in fact, watching the mens gymnastics is some of the most awe inspiring stuff you'll ever see (IMHO). The strength and control those blokes have is dead set amazing.

i love equestrian events, with the exception of dressage...absolute crap.to watch. as a show of rider/horse skill though, it is very VERY hard to do well, and for that i appreciate it....but it is not a sport IMHO however....also synchronised (insert whatever it is) is BS..

One of the guys from work picked up a Bronze in the shooting so I would have to say the shooting should stay. I am looking forward to seeing the medal when he gets back to work.   Its the closest a fat bastard like me will get to a medal. But saying that Warren is no athlete either.
I don't like seeing the "big" sports in the Olympics such as tennis, football and basketball. They all have their own big tornaments. If the Olympics is not the biggest event in any sport then they should not be part of it.
Remember, half the people you know are below average.

fair call but now EVERY sport has a world championship/world cup/ world wank off etc etc so where do you draw the line? Soccer at least has been part of the Olympics for ages as has indeed basketball I believe, tennis is a relative newcomer and with all the tennis players bitching about their current workload already, I would have np at all with it not being there in London, lets face it, poms got no hope of winning a tennis medal anyways.

I also think Tae Kwondo should be gotten rid of. It came in in Seoul as it's Korea's national sport but if we include that and Judo then why not every other marital art? Hell, why not professional wrestling... ok that might be a bit of a stretch :)
