zx9r gearbox???????????????

Hi,does anyone know what could cause the gears to not go in properly when upshifting? It dosen`t do it all the time,about 2 or 3 times on a ride.Oil changes are done evey 4/5000 k`s,{bike has done 40000}cheers GB

Could be something as simple as adjusting the clutch cable properly or getting the chain tension right....or if it's a C model ZX9R it could also be something along the lines of this http://www.ksrc-au.com/index.php?itemid=91

....but check the simple things first before panicking about the more serious stuff

Yep remove the whole assembly and apply grease to all points,once my bike wouldnt shift up all and i was shitting,but a bit of grease ans alls good
