Re: Phillip Island Moto gp 2008.. !!!!
We got home yesterday.. Had a great time as usual.
Big thanks to all the Boomerang campers and those that came out to turn one and KSRC'd it up with all the gear. We had plenty of green and black out there. Still gotta a get a few of others to come to the party and get into it a little more.
Next year it will be green shirts.!!
and thanks for not sitting in front of the banners, not much point lugging it out there and putting em up if no one can see it.
We had some newspaper come over and take a few pics of us all with the gear and channel ten filmed us all. Don't think any of it made to air or paper though. They may have looked up the alternative meaning of barracuda..
We also had a mobile band play for us Sunday morning, did a bodgy version of Go West..
Pics soon...
Time to start planning for the supers in late Feb..

We're home too - the weather was pretty shit in Vic for the trip home so we came up the coast and got here a day early. Still, it was another great trip and the ontrack action was great. Bring on 2009!

There was a glimpse on Channel 10's news of someone in what I thought was a KSRC shirt operating a BBQ.MadKaw wrote:We had some newspaper come over and take a few pics of us all with the gear and channel ten filmed us all. Don't think any of it made to air or paper though.
It was only fleeting though and I wasn't certain...

If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.

hope you weren't unruly on the way home
Bikies booked after MotoGP
Posted Tue Oct 7, 2008 12:10pm AEDT
Victoria Police have booked more than 200 motorcycles for speeding on their way home from the Phillip Island MotoGP.
Senior Sergeant David Carey, from the East Gippsland Traffic Management Unit says most of the bookings were for speeds between 120 and 140 kilometres an hour.
He says the riders appear to behave themselves as they leave Phillip Island, but become more unruly as they head east.
Senior Sergeant Carey says many riders will be disappointed in five or six weeks when they get their fines in the mail.
"They overtake on the left of the cars or they ride up to the back of the cars and the people get frightened and the people move over," he said.
"I'm sure they know there's not enough police."

One more reason not to go home via E. Gippsland !
I've spent over 40 years of my life riding bikes .... the rest of it, I wasted ..
