Video Camera Bracket

Post by Bones »

Does anyone have any ideas for a bracket to fit a video camera on to a bike?
Thanks in advance...

i guess it would really depend on your bike, where you want it and what type of camera as to the design of your bracket.

Most just come with a velcro strap you can tie up to the handle bars or triple clamps.
Others ive seen are taped to the side fairings with double sided tape, and some are mounted on the rear seat or cowl facing backwards.

If its not possible putting a camera in any of these places where it will see enough road, then i may suggest you fabricate one from metal or plastic. mock up the design with paper first, then cut out your pieces, bend and twist as needed and tie the camera down with velcro or shit loads of tape

The best way seems to be to use a tank mount system. they are easily fitted to the filler housing and seem to be quite stable.

the same site also has helmet cameras

have a look at these guys as well, they have a different method

there are plenty of different ways to mount a camera on a bike. bullet cams are getting more popular, especially now that resolutions are getting better. it will all depend on how far you want to go and how much you want to spend.

good luck and have fun

This is what I have. Easy to fit, stable and provide good view. I used it at the last Broadford Trackday and it was fine.
